Our advisory panel

VARTA has established an advisory panel to contribute to the work of the Authority on a voluntary basis. Membership is reviewed annually.

The panel’s role is:

  • to provide up-to-date information on general matters relating to assisted reproductive treatment, respond to questions of a technical, scientific or ethical manner on request, and provide advice on related fields of investigation under Victorian legislation.
  • to provide expert advice on relevant emerging research outcomes and treatment activities to inform VARTA’s monitoring and public education functions.
  • to consider other matters as they arise or are referred by the Authority.
