What Can I Find Out About My Child’s Donor Or Genetic Siblings?

Many people conceived from a donor are interested to know more about them. This is a very normal healthy curiosity. It does not in any way reflect a negative view about their family who raised them.

The information you are able to access about your child's donor depends upon when the donor signed consent forms at the clinic he/she donated to as different legislation has been introduced over time. This may seem very confusing for you and can only be properly ascertained when you have made an application and the details have been properly checked.

The Victorian Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages will be ale to proivde you with advice about the information available toyo through the Central or Voluntary Register.  Visit the Registry's website for more information.
